The US was the asshole a LONG time before Barack was even born. Let's see.... about the time....

The USA turned into an imperialistic nation and began captialism.

I wasnt blaming Barack, I was calling you Barack.

Why am I not surprised that came from you? Next you will be going for your Masters/PhD so that you can teach at an Ivy League School or Berkeley.

death is a bit harsher than I had in mind....that is the type of treatment that would be expected out of a communistic nation, not a capitalistic nation

Oooooooooor......some of us may have had our interest piqued by a comment from one of our regular members and may wish to know more about said comment.

As we sometimes do here. :shurg:

I, for one, know he has not been to India, and therefore wish to know what's up.

I often have to tell Nick, "If you are doing stuff to be annoying, don't be suprised when I get annoyed."

On that same vein, "If you make a comment to aggitate people, don't be suprised if they get agitated."

I did not mean to insinuate that the United States is the "asshole of the world", I just meant to say that we are the "asshole" of the world.

I think he's saying that America is not a cesspool of filth style of asshole, but rather a collection of jerks.

To some degree I'll buy that. I've only traveled abroad twice, but on both occasions I was able to spot fellow Americans a mile away because - without exception - they were loud and rude. We do have a self-centric arrogance about us, there's no arguing that.

I don't think America as a country deserves to be called an asshole in any regard, however. I'm sure Haiti would disagree with that assessment vehemently right now.
