Not to be a downer, but I was glad to see that win, for my stepdad, a huge Bama fan. He just lost his mom yesterday and hopefully that win brought a smile to his face for a moment.

 Re: What???????!!!!
People would probably be more excited if the game was any fun to watch.

Not a big fan of the overhyped SEC but glad to see someone win it decisively. I actually enjoyed watching the defense shut them down because all we get today in football is score....score...score!!

 Re: What???????!!!!
I saw the defenses, and I was into the game until the third quarter when LSU's offense started to just give up. It's no fun watching a good defense dismantle a team that doesn't have their shit together in my opinion.
Actually, it was fun to watch (for me) when it happened in Super Bowl XXXVII (sorry, R/T hehehe).
I pretty much stopped watching after Johnson threw that shovel pass pick. The look he gave to his RB told me all I needed to know.

Let's not forget that your coach knew all of our plays! Good D but not great

 Re: What???????!!!!
HA! It was the best D in the whole league by a wide margin!
It did of course help a TON that they didn't change their audible system and Gruden was able to teach it to John Lynch and Derrick Brooks, but I think you can lay that squarely at the feet of Callahan. It would be interesting to see how it would have turned out without that help but I still think Tampa had their number that year.
