I love my Audi A6, rides great for 2 people. It is a little tight for 4 men to ride in but has a huge trunk and is pretty damn quick. If you don't watch what you are doing you will be running 80 or 90 in a heart beat.

Post Re: Rentals
I rent something nearly every time I go home to ATL- Just makes sense, and why put miles on my stuff, that I usually keep forever.

That said, I totally agree with the Impala. Love 'em. Well, for a rental. Boring, yet reasonably comfy, and decent on gas. If I had to buy a new blah-mobile, I'd probably be looking for a '12-13 LTZ Impy. Oh, and that big ol' wrong wheel driver will roll out when asked :) Not that I would ever so such. :shh:

My local Avis guy has been pretty accommodating, he knows I won't drive anything other than GMs, and he hasn't failed me yet. I refuse to deal with Enterprise here, under any conditions. I also got one from Hertz a few weeks ago because Avis flat out had no cars whatsoever. Hertz stuck me in a newish Jetta that had maybe 37 horsepower (I actually think a Type I air-cooled Beetle would have outrun it) and no cruise control. That was a lovely experience.

Oh, and if you can afford an Audi, buy an Audi. Period.

Today my vehicle for running around was a 2010 Audi Q5. I double-down on my opinion that you should simply go buy an Audi if it's in your budget. They have sure figured out something intangible that sets them apart, and I am never anything but 100% impressed when I drive one.

I could maybe afford the A3. An A4 would be stretching it...

but now Omni is all "Kia Soul!"
