Post Well I freaking did it
Started out looking at GMC's and ended up at the Chevy lot. They have 15's on the lot so I was able to get a 14 for a little over 12,000 off sticker. I have never owned a Chevy truck. First time for everything I guess. My 100 mile impression is that I love it. It has the Duramax/Allison combo. You really don't have to wonder if it shifted or not I will be interested to see how it pulls the boat.

that is the hope.

It is a new driveway. That is our detached garage, I call it the barn. I keep the big boat in there and was tired of jacking with the boat and other stuff on gravel.
I put the 4x4 there to try to avoid breaking off the edge when I drive off it to go around back.

In the bourbon arena, my go to is Maker's. Best IMO. But, still doing the Captain- Silver, and Sprite. It's killing me, but my own damn fault.

Yeah, the Captain will do that to you or to your stomach at least. (or is it the Sprite? :green: )

My current favorite is Buffalo Trace but Makers is my go to. Knob Creek I blame for my broken finger if you remember that. Still one of my faves.

For a real surprise try Tom Sims 6 years old if you can find it. ABC liquors carries it @ 12.95 a fifth!!!
All kind of rumors who makes it but amazing at the price. If you dont like it you can always mix it.

I think it is the sheer volume over the years that's gotten me. No less than 8 bouts in the hospital on 3-4 day vacations in the last 2.5 years with lower GI bleeds and once with a hemoglobin count of 3.2- Therm will know what that means, but at the time I didn't- They were like, how are you alive? My reply was sh!t, I dunno- But I just walked over 600' across your parking lot because I didn't want the car to get a door ding :) I later found out that was not a good #, but another story entirely.

I also do enjoy Knob Creek, and for giggles Wild Turkey for the nostalgia factor. Tom Sims I gave not had the pleasure, but might give it a try this weekend as we're camping, and our Anniversary. Since I will clearly not be getting serviced (I did say anniversary, remember) I'll need to get phukked by something at the very least. :)

By the way, ever notice how effectively we can still jack a thread? Almost as skillfully as Blk taking a thread about legos and turning it to questionably legal girls in the blink of an eye. :)

I was way into bourbons when I was drinking regularly as well. For me, it begins and ends with Wild Turkey - and for a true bourbon experience the Wild Turkey Rare Breed can't be beat. To me, Maker's Mark seemed like the bourbon that people who don't love bourbon drink. *shrug*
