Got the PDFs from Max so I'm hoping to start digging in soon. I also have Walking Dead comics to read (currently have Compendium One in my possession). So much to read!

Post Re: Game Of Thrones
My Nexus tablet Kindle app displayed the PDFs much better than my older Kindle device. I ripped through the Dunk and Egg stories yesterday between medical appointments and then later when we were home. Fun to read and good stories.

Nyarla, there's technically just 1 character we meet in the Mystery Knight that theoretically we meet again in A Dance With Dragons. Though it seems that the theory is pretty sound. But we also hear about Aemon tangentially, who we for sure meet in A Game of Thrones. Bloodraven would be older than Aemon, though. Does the dragon blood help lead a longer natural life?

Glad you enjoyed the PDFs Therm. Quick reads but enjoyable and some good background. Supposed to be a fourth story in the series, The She Wolves of Winterfell, but GRRM hasnt finished or released that one. Id like to read more about D&E. They live a lot longer, Egg to about 60 and Duncan more than 70 by my figures, when they perish in the Tragedy of Summerhall.

So many hints and details in GRRMs works. Did you know Brienne is thought to be one of Dunks descendants as well as Hodor with perhaps Old Nan the mother.

Maester Aemon would have been about 118 or so I believe when we meet him in a Game of Thrones. Not impossible in that world. :green:

Well I don't think there's any theory surrounding the three-eyed crow anymore. He tells us straight away that his name is Brynden, he has white hair, and he has the red birthmark on his neck/face. He is the Bloodraven, impossibly old:

Most of him has gone into the tree ... He has lived beyond his mortal span, and yet he lingers. For us, for you, for the realms of men. Only a little strength remains in his flesh. He has a thousand eyes and one, but there is much to watch. One day you will know.

I suppose it's more established that it's Bloodraven than who Jon's parents really are.

I'm very interested in what Bran will be able to do as he develops his greenseer skills. And what Bloodraven has done as a greenseer himself.

We watched the last episode at our hotel in Atlanta. I sort of missed what was going on with Melisandre and Shireen. What occurred there?

Melisandre came in to "mentor" Shireen because she's been too precocious of late. Shireen asks a bunch of very pointed questions about the Lord of Light and why he wants people burned alive if he's so good (basically). Melisandre chides her for asking too many questions, dismisses all of her religion and gods, and tells her "There is only one hell, the one we live in now."

Curious.

Character development for Melisandre, or will Shireen have more of a role to play in the TV series.

So that this point..

- Is Arya just going to figure out a way to kill the Hound herself?

- Are we going to leave Coldhands out of it altogether?

Also, you almost felt like Cersei was being "human" in that last episode.
