This video is pretty awesome in it's own right, but the reason I saw it is because my buddy Ian (the guy who flew Compass Call C-130s in Afghanistan) posted this to his Facebook and he recognized the pilot of the 135 as one of his students. I thought that was pretty cool.

Nice. We appreciated the video here at work. We take some pride and interest in all the USAF C-130s.

My special little lady works in an industry that receives attention from law enforcement every so often. After she saw this video a while back she made some of the other people in her office watch it and the lessons it contains recently saved them all from serious consequences. In the face of two detectives lying to them about their rights and the law, they remained silent until they could talk to their lawyer only to find out that everything they were being told by those two detectives was false and misleading.

I think everybody should watch it, because it's a life lesson that will pay off in spades if/when it ever needs to be put to use. It doesn't support an anti-police attitude or anything, and I am certainly NOT an opponent of law enforcement in any way. I do demand that my rights be respected though, and I refuse to be apologetic about that.

No word on any disciplinary action against the detectives that attempted to manipulate a mom and pop non-profit into incriminating themselves for crimes they weren't guilty of, but their behavior matches the sentiment and attitude of the community we live in so no surprise there.

I started to talk a bit too much to a detective the other day. I should post that story. I decided at a point in my 2nd conversation to just stop answering questions as I recalled this video.

A camera that records at a speed of 1 TRILLION frames per second. It can see light moving.

If you like kung fu movies I'm sure you've seen this one, it's one of the best ever made. A true artisan at the height of his craft.

What I like about it:

The perfect portrayal of resolve and confidence

Jet Li's trademark offense as defense style when he's fighting the students

The casual nut grab and discard

The mechanical way he assesses the master's prowess

Punching the bottom of the dude's FOOT

The tying of the shoes

And the best thing about it: it's only the 4th best fight scene in that film

Bren, I edited your post so the video would show up on the page instead of being a link.

Okay, this looks fun as hell to the dork in me (which is pretty much all of me). It's a game that you install on 6 different computers that are networked together in the same room, and each machine acts as one station on the bridge of a Star Trek like ship - helm, comm, weapons, engineering, and science. The captain doesn't have any controls, just the "main screen".

I wanna play!

Probably the most epic air traffic control story I've ever heard, and this one is true and told first-hand by a Sled Driver:
