Post Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag
I broke down and got a PS4 and the new Assassin's Creed game.

Here's my first try at using the Share feature of the PS4 to post a video of my game play. My thought process through this video clip:

"Man those guys can really chuck a grappling hook... what's that ship doing, okay it's bugging out... I need to kill the captain... there he is... I wonder if I can hit him with this- OHHH SHIT, SON! Wait... isn't there a button that lets me save that snippet?"

The son got a Vita when they came out planning on using it via the "remote play". Well guess what? They only enabled that selling feature for one fucking damn game. He was pissed as were we. Never have developed any others as yet.

How do you like the 4? Which did you have before?

The Remote Play feature is mandatory on all PS4 games, so if you get one of those that feature will work with all of your games. For the PS3 hardly anything is supported.

I think the PS4 is an awesome piece of hardware. I had both the PS3 and the Xbox 360, but I used the PS far more so that was the first one I upgraded. There are a lot of "small" things it does in this new AC game that are really not so small at all - the way the ocean looks and moves for example, I can tell there's a lot more processing being done there that wasn't possible before. Load times are vastly improved as well.

Cool on the share. He's gotten all the Assassin Creeds and that is a good game in my opinion too.
I haven't really checked, only asked one person and they weren't sure. Will the 4 play all 3 games? Unlike the damn backward Incompatibility on the 2 and 3. We have the 2, 3, Vita, WII and his game boys, but never went to the 360 side.

The PS4 will not play any PS3 games, there is no backwards compatibility. I have to keep my PS3 around in case I want to revisit any of those games.

Why the hell can't they make newer work with the old?! He has an extensive ps3 collection that he'd never give up. Just stack the box's I guess.

It's because the architecture is completely different on the new machine, it's not x86 based anymore. They may come out with a software emulator at some point in the future, but as far as hardware goes it's better for the new stuff that it doesn't play the old games.
