It looks like this has cleared up all of the PHP errors I was getting. The mods we've installed on this board may or may not still work, so keep me updated if you come across anything that's broken.

Thanks for your patience through all of this, I'm the first to admit when things start to get over my head, and this is one of those things. I just fired a gun at it and crossed my fingers.

you had no choice. Neither of us could get into the admin panel and once we tried and failed, we couldn't even log back onto the board.

My best guess as to what happened: our hosting service updated the version of PHP they are running on the server.

This can cause some flags to be thrown and some functions to cease working. I guess there were enough of these to cause a few cascading problems and keep some of us from logging in altogether.

We're now running the very latest release of phpBB (the software this board runs) so everything is working again. In the future I'll try to get the updates done in a more timely fashion - maybe twice a year. In the meantime I'll try to get our important mods installed again. I think the two most missed right now are the Quick Reply Box and the smiley pack. My job is no longer as boring as it used to be, so it might take me a few days.
